What the Requester Pays
The price on the order page is the price charged. Havn adds nothing to it, so the requester sees one number and pays it.
Where a state caps the fee, the cap is applied when you save your price and again when each order is priced, so a price above it cannot reach a requester.

How You Are Paid

Card payments settle to the association's own bank account. Havn does not hold the money.

Your State's Timing
Where a state has the fee paid after preparation or at closing, Havn follows that state's timing rather than charging at order.
Why Free Works
A resale document already carries a fee. Title companies pay it on every closing, and they have for decades. Nothing about Havn adds a charge to a transaction that did not have one.
What changes is who does the work. Havn drafts the document from the community's own record, applies the state's rules, tracks the deadline, takes the payment, and delivers the result. The association reviews and signs.
Havn takes a share of the fee that already existed, in exchange for most of the work that used to fall on staff and volunteers. That is the whole model. There is nothing to charge the association for, so it is free.

Is the resale platform really free?

What does Havn charge the person ordering?
Nothing beyond the price you set. The requester sees one price on your order page and pays it. Havn's share comes out of that price and is never added on top.
Who sets the price of a document?
You do, for each document and each format you offer. Havn shows a recommended price for your state beside yours, and the choice stays yours.
What happens where a state caps the fee?
Havn holds each state's cap. A price above it cannot be saved, and the limits are applied again when each order is priced, including rush fees and a cap that several documents share. 13 states set a dollar cap today, from $50 in Wisconsin to $400 in Arizona.
Is there a contract or a minimum?
No contract, no minimum, and no seats. You can stop at any time, and your document library exports in full, in your own folder structure, at no charge.
