What is a status letter?

Colorado's name for the association's statement of what is owed on a home at sale, furnished under the Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act, with a capped fee.

Also called Colorado status letter.

In Havn

Havn prepares the Colorado status letter from the ledger within the statutory fee limit.

Colorado resale rules

A buyer, seller, or lender asks the association for a status letter before closing. It states the assessments and other amounts owed, and the statute limits what the association may charge for it. It travels with the governing documents and the disclosures a Colorado sale requires.
