HOA Newsletter Template

A newsletter owners read is one page with dates in it. The template below keeps five fixed sections so owners learn where to look: a short note from the board, the dates, the money, projects and rules, and how to reach the office. Fill in what changed this month and leave the rest out.

Send it on a schedule, monthly or quarterly, by email and the portal, and by mail to the owners without email.

Questions Boards Ask

How long should an HOA newsletter be?

One page, two at most. Owners read the first screen on a phone, so the dates and the money go first.

Can the newsletter name owners who broke a rule?

No. Name the rule and the fix, never the home or the owner. Enforcement is private; the reminder is public.

Does a newsletter count as the annual meeting notice?

No. The notice has its own content and delivery requirements under the bylaws and the state. The newsletter can repeat the date.
