What is a fiscal year?
The twelve months the association budgets and reports on. Many run on the calendar year; others pick a year that ends after the busy season or matches the audit.
In Havn
Budgets, assessment schedules, and reports in Havn follow the fiscal year set once in Settings.
Budgets and reportsThe fiscal year is set in the bylaws or by board resolution. The budget is adopted before it starts, the assessment schedule follows it, and the financial statements and any audit or review close on its last day. Changing it means one short year and some explaining to owners.
Havn keys each fiscal year by the calendar year it ends in, so a year running July to June is the year it ends.
