What is a management company?
A company the board hires to run the association day to day: collect assessments, pay bills, keep the books, enforce the rules, field owner calls, and prepare the board's packet.
Also called community association manager, CAM.
In Havn
Havn gives a management company every community on one platform, with company-wide defaults each community can override and your brand on every owner touch.
For management companiesThe board stays in charge; the manager carries out its decisions under a management agreement that sets the scope and the fee. Several states license community association managers and set standards for handling association funds and records. A company may manage dozens or hundreds of communities, each with its own books and its own board.
The alternative is self-management, where volunteer directors do the work with software and vendors.
